![]() Monitor locally so you can hear what you're sending to the stream rather than trying to monitor by listening to the stream and you'll be fine, and make sure all sound from SL is muted so it doesn't conflict (folks doing applause gestures 20-sec delayed and you're already into the next song, for example) I just hold off on hitting the footswitch to switch up my live lighting or anim cures for about 3-4 bars of playing the tunes. The punters can even hear me apologizing for "live goofs" like a broken string in (20-second-delayed) realtime. I play live performances in SL every week over a shoutcast stream. "Can't use it for live performances?" Bravo Sierra. There is ALWAYS a delay for a shoutcast/icecast stream. ( and playback it in SL)ĭon't use the build in voice feature from the viewer to establish this, it's not made for that purpose and will sound horrible. The solution most used is to broadcast the music ánd singer from one location. ![]() Even with a shout/icecast broadcast (streaming) it's nearly impossible because of the same delay. There's a delay in broadcast and receiver/viewer. No you can't use it for live performances. ![]()
